Been A While

Just before Christmas my Mac Powerbook fell ill, critically ill in fact. So much that I had to pull the plug and let her drift away to a better place. That place being ebay where you can bid on her lifeless soul for a mear £20. That aside, I have a new bitch. She's 24 inchs and makes life kind of complete.

Save tibet! No, please, save Tibet. Why? Because shit is happening there man and it's awful. Wait, you don't have a clue what's going on in Tibet. do you?

I have made various assessments of my life over the years and it has helped me gain some vast knowledge about myself, I know that I don't really do a lot to save this world and after careful thought, I think I'm okay with it. I have a pretty good idea that the world is not going to collapse around me in the next fifty years so I'm okay with that.

I'm not great, I drive to the local shop, I leave the television on stand by and put tea bags in the recycled bin, soz world.

It's not that I don't care, I just put more emphasis on getting by in this world than saving it. Sorry If that makes me a bad person but not everybody can adjust their lives to be more like Moby.

So let me get this right, you're promoting self-determination for the Tibetan people through negotiations between the Chinese government and the Dalai Lama? or is it more, advocating for Tibetans imprisoned for their political or religious beliefs, which I know is terribly wrong. You know what, you don't know, you just took this fucking job to get some money to buy tickets to Leeds festival you scamp. Don't look at me like I'm a bad person if I don't want to talk to you, I'll save this planet my own way, possibly in my dreams at night or through the medium of a computer game.

It's too cold to stand outside anyway, get a life.

I took these photos at Golden Acre park a few weeks ago when the ice was at its most dangerous and the sun, at its brightest. I feel like they should be printed out and stuck to the inside of my hand, then, whenever I approach a stressfull sitiutaion I can always look at it and immediatly feel calm again.

I took our cat Melvin for his neutering removal pre-op today. The PDSA clinic, or 'Pet Hell' as some people would have you believe is not a place to feel calm in. This place was brimming and bulging with half dead animals, eastern european vets and piss stained walls; so instantly I felt I was really beginning to bond with the atmosphere.

As I was about to sign Melv's nuts off a women ran in with a Pit Bull in a bin bag, its tongue was hanging out and its lungs sounded like the whistle of an old fashioned kettle. I decided to not bring up the issue of her queue jump but instead let her squeeze in before me.

Some things I believe take greater priority.

Size? the pumps shop, asked me to design 4 pages of an article on their Leeds shop. Its a massive paper, A2 maybe, makes you feel like a ewok when you read it.

I've been busy of late, working on the latest issue of shut magazine. Its out now in all the shops around these parts and features an interview with Fugazi+Minor Threat+Embrace+The Evens mister man Ian Mackaye. Awesome!! I'd buy it but its free.

I made these postie cards for shut magazine, you buy them from their online shop but they might be sold out. I didn't actually do anything, just placed a logo over a photo. The photo was taken by Noah Kalina, he did that photo thing where he took a photo of his mug every day for 6 years. Obviously didn't have a girlfriend or any kind of social life.
